Hand painted kitchens and furniture
A kitchen hand painted in oil based eggshell matched to Fired Earth China Clay. This was a busy job as the plumbers, electrician and tiler were not finished, but everyone worked together and the end result was a fantastic kitchen.

Ash, Pine, Oak, Poplar/Tulipwood, all softwood, hardwood, MDF and melamine kitchens can all be hand painted to a very high standard.
I paint kitchens for homeowners as well as joinery firms. Normally kitchens are painted once installed in the home, but they can be painted in a joinery shop prior to intallation.

As with all decorating protection of unpainted sufaces and preparation of those to be painted is essential. Flooring is covered with 2mm Cordek (correx), unpainted areas are masked off with precision masking tapes and papers for an outstanding finish.
Specialist primers ensure the topcoat bonds to the kitchen for a long life, durable finish. Dust extracted sanding gives the smoothest finish, paint is sanded between coats.
Traditional oil based eggshells provide a classic durable finish, modern high performance water based paints can also be used. Prefered brands are Dulux, Sikkens, Little Greene and Tikkurilla.
